I used to have a roommate who..........

Micro-Fest: The best little glasses of beer ever.

I took Erin to the STL Microfest as part of her birthday. We started with brunch at The Mud House. Then we proceeded to Forest Park for the beer drinking extravaganza. The weather was great and we were able to taste some great micro-brews. Twisted Pine Brewing out of Colorado probably had the best selection of brews I hadn't seen yet. Ska Brewing had some really cool can designs. Later that night we stopped for some pizza and had braunschweiger for an appetizer. It brought back some great memories of sitting in my grandma's kitchen playing pass the trash.

Getting up to speed.

Well I just started this and I'm already about two weeks behind. Hopefully you guys enjoy some of these pix.

My roommate Ryan and I went on a cool hike through Lone Elk Park. It was a 3.2 mile loop with a black diamond difficulty level. Half way through a park ranger asked us if we were mushroom hunting and told us to watch out for the burn area. A few of the elk pictures are without zoom so you can see how close we got to the animals.

They wouldn't let us hike around the buffalo so this is from the car.

This is a no zoom shot.
